For the collectors out there, I did not draw a cover for AQUAMAN #30 (I believe most variants that month were movie tie-ins) but I am still on the book. In fact, I am working on #32 at this very moment!

Below is the final version of the Aquaman #29 cover. There is an earlier, unfinished, unsigned version popping up online. The only changes are some additional highlights on the top figure (Tempest), some added bubbles, and a tiny adjustment to Aquaman's right eye to fix his gaze, but I hate it when unfinished work gets out there!

Girl's Finest commission

This was commissioned some months ago. I AM NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING COMMISSIONS. Please do not contact me with a commission request! I will post a notice on this blog when/if I take on any more commissions. Thanks!!!

Facebook impostors

Warning: I am not, nor have I ever been, on Facebook (or Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, etc.)

My only online presence is this site,

Beware of impostors!

San Francisco Comic Con sketches and commissions

My apologies for not posting about this sooner, but I've been working like crazy meeting deadlines and preparing for the show. I did not have the time to do any pre-show commissions this time around, but I plan on drawing as much as I can at the con, God have mercy on my drawing hand.

I've had a lot of inquiries about commissions, sketches, sketch covers, CGC signatures, etc, and I am working out a sketch policy/price list now and will have it posted on my table in Artist Alley. I'm going to offer a few different options so that I can draw for as many people as possible.

I will have four different gallery-quality prints available (A3, 100% cotton paper, archival inks) and a portfolio packed with original art.

I very much appreciate everyone's interest and look forward to meeting you all next weekend.

See you soon!

Harley Quinn 25th Anniversary Special

This is a retailer variant cover for Forbidden Planet in the UK. It will apparently be available in three different versions- regular, line art, and without the logo/trade dress.

San Francisco Comic Con, Sep 1-3, 2017

In addition to providing the art for the FREE poster to be handed out to all attendees (while supplies last), I am pleased to announce that I will be a guest at the show.

As some of you may recall, I was unable to attend both Emerald City and WonderCon, but the stars have finally aligned and I will be heading to San Francisco with a ton of original art, prints, and comics. I hope to see you there!

*I will be posting about commissions/sketches at a later date. Please do not contact me now to request a commission!*

BATMAN #26 variant cover, 30cm x 40cm (approx. 12"x16"), mixed media on paper.

While I have done several traditionally painted pieces as private commissions, this will be my first published all-traditional cover illustration (with few exceptions, all of my previous covers have been drawn traditionally in pencil or ink and colored in Photoshop).

The issue hits the shelves this week.

The original painting is available for purchase SOLD.

I am very happy to announce that in addition to my twice-monthly AQUAMAN covers, I am taking on monthly BATGIRL covers starting with issue #13, seen here. I'm thrilled to be on the book!

Another Poison Ivy

Another commission, about 9"x12", mixed media. Headed your way, JS!

Another ECCC "pre-show commission". This one is for you, MV.!

Princess Mononoke

Princess Mononoke commission, mixed media on paper,  9"x12". Coming to you soon, E.C.!

Hmmm...with all of these covers, I should probably just rename my blog, "The Art of Aquaman". I'll have to post something else one of these days!

If you're waiting to hear from me...

...please hang in there. I am a bit overwhelmed at the moment, but I am trying my best to reply to every message I have received. Apologies, and thanks for your patience!

ECCC 2017 cancellation

I am very disappointed to say I am unable to attend ECCC 2017 due to circumstances beyond my control. I sincerely apologize to those of you hoping to visit me at my table and check out my art in person. I will do my best to attend another convention as soon as possible, so hopefully I will be able to see some of you then.

I will be shipping my 'pre-show' commissions, so I will soon be in touch with everyone on my list to work out the details. Needless to say, I will cover the shipping expense.

Now I just have to figure out what to do with all of this original art and prints...

Important ECCC update

First the good news- I have been chipping away at my commission list and have really been enjoying it. I'm eager to deliver the pieces to all of the kind folks who requested a commission. If all goes well, I may even be able to squeeze a couple more in. However...

...the bad news- I recently found out there is a very good possibility that due to circumstances completely beyond my control, I may not be able to travel to Seattle and will therefore have to cancel my appearance at ECCC. I will be emailing all of the people on my commission list individually shortly with more information, but rest assured, if you requested a commission, you will receive it. Unfortunately, I may have to ship it to you rather than deliver it in person.

I am truly disappointed by this development as I have been preparing for quite a while to head to Seattle and have lots of art to show, including a bunch of originals I haven't shown anywhere else. I am still keeping my fingers crossed that it all works out and I can attend after all, but if not, I apologize in advance to anyone hoping to see me, have a chat, get a book signed, or grab a quick sketch.

If it turns out I can't make it, I am planning on attending another convention as soon as possible. I realize a lot of folks won't be able to make it to an alternate show, but I hope I will be able to see some of you at least.

I will post an update as soon as I know more, and my apologies again.
