HARLEY & IVY #3 revised cover

Looking over the blog, I realized I may not have posted this little revision to the HARLEY & IVY joining covers I did a while back. Ivy got a little more foliage for cover and some brown.

It sure is nice to see the stark contrast of a proper drawing to so much of the heavily-rendered stuff I've been posting, especially that last Glamour Shots Ivy.

HARLEY QUINN & POISON IVY #5

HARLEY QUINN & POISON IVY #5, on shelves in January, will feature connecting variant covers. While they will be printed as two separate covers, I drew them as one large image.

Here is a look at the completed line art, drawn in a deep, earthy red ink. It felt good to return to a strict line drawing after many painterly covers in recent months.

The printed version will be full color of course, but with mostly flat colors to preserve the line.

NEW YORK COMIC CON, Oct 3-6

It has been quite a few years since I attended a convention in the Northeastern U.S., so I am very pleased to announce I will be attending New York Comic Con, October 3-6.

I will be exhibiting with Scott's Collectables in Artist Alley. I don't have our table numbers as of yet, but I will post an update as soon as our placement is confirmed.

AQUAMAN #31 and BATGIRL #18

 

For the collectors out there, I did not draw a cover for AQUAMAN #30 (I believe most variants that month were movie tie-ins) but I am still on the book. In fact, I am working on #32 at this very moment!

Harley Quinn 25th Anniversary Special

This is a retailer variant cover for Forbidden Planet in the UK. It will apparently be available in three different versions- regular, line art, and without the logo/trade dress.
