Holly Lisle's Moon & Sun 1: The Ruby Key was the very first book
cover I illustrated 18 years ago. It was originally published by
Scholastic, but has been out of print for years. I also provided the
cover for the second book in the series, The Silver Door. While there
were plans for more books, sadly the series was cut short.
Author Katharina Gerlach is bringing the first two books back into print and will be completing the series. She has launched a Kickstarter for the project. If successful, in addition to republishing my original covers, I will be providing a new cover for book 3, and possibly a book 4.
While I am not personally involved in the Kickstarter or the creation of the books beyond providing the covers, I know that Ms. Gerlach believes in this project with all of her heart and will be doing her best to write a compelling story and fitting conclusion to the series.
