Here she is. Although I intended to draw something graphic, flat, and line-heavy for my first Wonder Woman cover, I ended up with some fairly heavy rendering; there just wasn't much to the line art, so I worked up a lot in the color. There weren't any prelims for this one, so what you see is what you get. Drawn in pencil, Photoshop for color (and cloud painting).
Green Arrow is on my desk now. He is actually looking very graphic, flat, and line heavy at the moment, but I wonder where he'll end up. I'll try to finish him off for next week.

very nice skottie
Beautiful!:o)
HOLY...
That is insanely awesome! I'm awestruck with the amount of rendering you put into the piece! It somewhat reminds me of James Jeans colors, only in the bottom portion of the piece.
Great job, and I'll be put it up there on the site :)
Man!! This cover looks great, nice camera angle. Incredible colors!!
Love your work man!! ( sorry... my inglish sucks. I am a brazilian fan of your art^^)
Great job. You've really captured the grace and nobility of the character.
Beautiful! Every cover so far has been stunning!
One of the things I like most about your art is the line work is not over done. You have just enough lines to describe the piece and anything lacking you make up for in color.
Josh,
No prelims ????
I know that there are a lot of
collectors that are dissapointed.
Plus it could have fetched
$X,XXX !!!! :'(

My favorite comic character! You did a wonderful job on her. I particularly like the perspective and expression. *applauds you*
By the way, are you planning on having a print of this for sale at any conventions? I would love to buy one.
>the sound of my jaw hitting the floor<
Oh, man, that WW is just absolutely stunning! She looks imposing, regal and beautiful, as she should.
I've been a fan of your work since NYX, and I'm glad to have found your blog!
Best,
J.
wonderful!!! :P
Thanks for the lovely comments everyone, and welcome newcomers.
I am writing this from a Los Angeles courthouse, where I am a potential juror. I have been here since 7:30 AM, and if any of these folks knew how incredible that is for a guy like me, they would call me a patriot and send me home. Really, should a person going on 2 hours sleep really be judging anything, much less a person?
I am waiting to see if I will be called to serve, which could keep me here for days, possibly weeks. I am not terribly thrilled by this prospect.
Damn criminals.
J
AMAZING!
Good luck with jury duty...*barf*.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
Aw chucks! That sucks.
Are you able to sketch at all?
Stunning art as always. I love the colors! Btw, I finally picked up NYX... fantastic work!
Oh man...jury duty.
Luckily I've never had to serve....yet.
*gulp*
Josh,
Man that sucks. Can you bring
work to get done ? Don't let
your brain rot and watch ALL of
those afternoon game shows /soaps
!!!!
See you this weekend at Wizard,
John H.
Seriously- if you want to get out of jury duty, just say that your fiance (or former fiance, if the case is about murder) was the victim of whatever crime is alleged.
Out ya go, daddy-o.
As a freelancer, you can claim
hardship. I hope your section gets
picked and you get excused quickly.
Nothing worse than waiting.

I absolutely love this piece. I have a space on my wall waiting a WWoman poster that encompasses all I see in WWoman. THIS is that piece. I'd buy this poster in a heartbeat.
Hey folks-
Thanks again for the great comments. I am glad you like the piece.
Unfortunately, I will not have a print of Wonder Woman available for sale at the shows. The image hasn't even seen print as a cover yet. Maybe if we are lucky, DC will make a poster or something, though I wouldn't hold my breath. I'm still waiting for a hardcover collection of Adam Hughes covers. Come on, DC!
J
Very cool, as usual!
Cheers to you and your work,
Regards,
Milenko

This is gorgeous, seriously. :D Her hair, the colors in the sky... I can't stop staring. I'm so happy I found your blog! I first saw your art last year at a convention in Seattle and your amazing line work has been stuck in my head ever since. I've been looking at all your sketches and stuff and I'm totally inspired. :D I can't wait to see more!

That is awesome!
This is one heck of a Wonder Woman! I thought Wonder Woman was all done after Adam Hughes, but I was wrong! Truly stunning work here, and love the blog.
